The most cute local touch
Between international grace and grandeur, there was some specially special: Austin's local ballet students joined the stage throughout the evening.
Our own small stars appeared in many scenes, originally woven into production with the Ukrainian company. Let's just say, they were adorable, ready and clearly gave it to him. This was the kind of moment that makes you smile that you forget that you are trying to be fancy. And it added a very real, very Austin kind of attraction in the evening.
Swan Lake will always be a classic. But when it is danced in this way – with grace, heart and some surprise – it reminds you why it is really an excellent work.
