As part of this year’s World Food Day celebration activities, Zuma Agric Radio has launched the Koyo Health App, a digital innovation designed to increase health care access for rural communities in Niger State.
The launch event began at the Juma Agric Radio premises in Suleja and concluded at the Numba Koro Primary Health Care Centre, Tafa Local Government Area, where the initiative was officially introduced to residents according to a statement from the management.
In his welcome speech, Managing Director of Juma Agric Radio, Shuaibu Kéré Ahmed, described the app as a bridge between “innovation and inclusion”, noting that it will connect underserved populations to essential medical services and improve health outcomes in remote areas.
Speaking at the event, Murtala Babagana, Special Adviser to Niger State Governor Mohammed Bago, lauded the initiative as a model of effective public-private collaboration in community health delivery.

The Permanent Secretary of the Primary Health Care Development Agency affirmed the State Government's commitment to support digital health innovations that promote equitable health care.
More than 300 rural residents were registered on the app during the event.
It is expected that the Koyo Health App will serve as an important tool in advancing rural healthcare delivery by linking with broader efforts to integrate technology into public health management across the state.
