Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir, on Saturday commiserated with the family of former governor of the state, Ahmed Adamu Mu'azu, over the death of his mother.
The Governor said that the late matriarch passed away today after a prolonged illness.
In a press statement signed by the Adviser Media and Publicity to Governor Bala, Mukhtar Gidado and made available to journalists in Bauchi.
Governor Bala Mohammed described the deceased as a devoted mother who contributed greatly to her community through service, compassion and acts of kindness and charity.
According to the statement, “The Government and people of Bauchi State stand in solidarity with our former Governor, Dr. Ahmed Adamu Mu'azu and his family in this hour of grief. We pray that Almighty Allah will forgive his shortcomings, grant him eternal peace in Aljannatul Firdaus and give the family the strength to bear this great loss,” Governor Bala Mohammed said.
Praying for the repose of her tender soul, the Governor urged Dr. Muazu and the entire family to take solace in the fact that his mother lived a full life, leaving behind a legacy of humility and goodwill.
