He emerged in the top seven along with representatives from the United States, China, Türkiye, Australia, Ecuador, Romania and Jordan. Of the three African candidates, Oshodi, Egypt's Alaa Meshref, and South Africa's Hazera Kaji, Oshodi was the only candidate selected for the eight-member vice presidential team.
Oshodi and China's Liu Guoliang are the only returning members from the outgoing executive board, with six newly elected officials joining the leadership for the first time.
Continuing his campaign to strengthen Africa's representation on the global stage, he will serve another four-year term (2025-2029) alongside ITTF President Petra Sorling.

As President of the Nigerian Table Tennis Federation since 2013, he promoted youth development and international competition, including hosting the ITTF Challenger tournament in Lagos.
His rise to continental leadership accelerated in 2016 when he became Vice President of ITTF Africa (Western Region).
