According to AFP, Saudi Arabia has told Iran that it will not allow its airspace or territory to be used for any military action against Tehran.
Two sources cited by AFP said the message was delivered directly to Iranian officials, as regional tensions rise following warnings from the United States over how to handle ongoing protests in Iran.
A source close to the Saudi military said Riyadh has made it clear that it will not participate in or encourage any attack on Iran. Another source with knowledge of the communications confirmed that the position had been formally conveyed to Tehran.
The revelations come as the United States has stepped up pressure on Iran, with President Donald Trump warning of possible military action if Iranian authorities step up their crackdown on protesters. Tehran responded by threatening to target US military and naval assets if attacked.

Trump warns Tehran on execution
The diplomatic exchange followed fresh warnings from President Trump, who said the United States would respond forcefully if Iran carried out incidents related to the protests.
“If they do something like that, we will take very strong action,” Trump said in an interview with CBS News. He referred to reports that Iranian authorities may begin executing protesters.
Trump also reiterated a message he posted earlier on social media, saying that “help is on the way” for Iranian protesters.
Speaking to reporters later, the president said he was awaiting detailed information on the situation in Iran and would decide Washington's response based on updated intelligence.
