Industry stakeholders under the auspices of the Association of Professional Party Organizers and Event Managers of Nigeria (APPOEMN) plan to pay tribute to the vibrant, timeless and colorful legacy of Nigeria’s classic party era.

The move will be achieved during its prestigious annual celebration, the OWAMBE 5.0 event held in Lagos, which will bring together top event professionals, vendors, creatives and industry stakeholders for an unforgettable night of culture, networking and entertainment.

According to the organisers, the fifth edition of the event, scheduled to take place on February 3, 2026, will pay tribute to the vibrant, timeless and colorful legacy of Nigeria's classic party era with the theme 'Nigeria Old School Concept – 1940's Revival'. From vintage fashion to timeless music and energetic social vibes that define our culture.

Speaking on the upcoming edition, Ayiri Oladunmoye, President of APPOEMN, said OWAMBE has established itself as one of the most anticipated gatherings within the Nigerian events landscape, and the 5.0 edition promises to be the biggest yet.

Oladunmoye said that for the association, Owambe is more than just a party; It's our way of giving thanks and starting the new year.

According to Oladunmoye, the event is a platform to celebrate excellence, strengthen professional networks, appreciate talents and promote the values ​​that keep the Nigerian events industry thriving.

“Owambe 5.0 is our way of honoring the spirit of collaboration and creativity that drives the events industry. This year's theme brings back the beauty and nostalgia of the old school era while showcasing modern innovation, professionalism and unity within our community.” Oladunmoye said.

APPOEMN Event Director Segun Inanwole said event activities will include recognition of industry contributors, premium networking opportunities and exclusive entertainment for event professionals.

Inanwole said, “Expectations from the event will include a red carpet old school fashion parade, high-energy performances and live band sessions.”

She added that attendees are encouraged to embrace the theme by attending in their best old school-inspired attire. The event promises unforgettable views, music, food and an atmosphere befitting the golden age of Nigerian celebrations.
