Chief Whip of the Bauchi State House of Assembly and member representing Bogoro Constituency, Moses Wakili Nkwada, popularly known as Gida-Gida, has urged the communities to promote lasting peace and sustainable development.
Nakwada gave the charge when he met the newly appointed district heads of Bogoro, Boi and Lusa in solidarity with them in their various palaces.
He said that unity, peace and harmonious co-existence are indispensable elements of development, hence the need to promote these cannot be over-emphasised.
He, however, called on traditional leaders to accommodate the diverse people within their jurisdiction without favoritism.
The MLA urged him to serve with justice, transparency, wisdom like King Solomon and the fear of God.
Also congratulated him and prayed for his success in discharging his duties.
On his part, the Chairman of Bogoro Local Government, Yakubu Lawi Sumi, thanked Nakawara for his commitment to the welfare of the people of the 3rd district that constitutes the local government.
The council boss was represented by his deputy, Mulki Marcus Masoi. Sumi expressed deep gratitude for the many developmental projects executed by the Governor Bala Mohammed administration to the LGA including road construction, health, education and others.
He called on the people of Bogoro to forget the past and work towards building a community that will guarantee peace and development.
Also speaking, Ayuba Elisha Kyuta praised Governor Bala Mohammed for his maturity and leadership in the face of provocative statements made by some people. Individuals before and after the Tsardom came into existence.
