Creamline hopes to build on its impressive win over rival Choco Mucho in the PVL All-Filipino Conference as it faces off against Juice Coffee on Wednesday at the PhilOil Arena.
The Creamline Cool Smashers returned to the championship form that has seen them win 10 championships and tie the game at 1-1 by defeating the Choco Mucho Flying Titans 27-15, 17-25, 25-21, 25-15 at the MOA Arena last week.
The same aura of invincibility was absent when Creamline suffered a humiliating straight-sets loss to PLDT five days ago.
“It's a good win for us and we hope we can get our momentum going with this,” Creamline coach Sherwin Meneses said.
As for his returning favorite setter Zia de Guzman, he tempered expectations saying that the tournament has just begun.
“We don't want to get too ahead of ourselves because we recognize that at this point we are still getting acquainted with each other,” said the Alas Pilipinas standout and Japanese league veteran.
The ice cream making franchise will face the ZUS team, which on Thursday secured its first win in three matches at the expense of Akari 16-25, 25-18, 18-25, 25-23, 15-12 at the same San Juan venue.
