AC Mobility launches digital wallet for EV fleet

AC Mobility Holdings, Inc. (ACMobility), the mobility arm of Ayala Group, has launched a digital wallet for electric vehicle (EV) fleets and transportation groups to simplify payment systems.

The new solution, called ChargeFleet, is a shareable digital wallet that streamlines charging expenses, reduces manual tracking and improves cost control, the company said in a statement on Wednesday.

Mobile wallet allows fleet managers to allocate and monitor charging credits among multiple drivers on a single platform. The solution also seeks to address operational shortcomings in EV adoption, such as fragmented payment systems, delays in reimbursements and limited visibility on charging usage.

Once integrated, AceMobility provides charging credits to the customer's fleet manager, who can then distribute these to multiple drivers. Drivers can view and use their assigned credits using Avro, ACMobility's partner application.

“Our core goal has always been to build a comprehensive EV ecosystem that serves every type of driver…With this new offering, we hope to address an important gap for our enterprise customers – transportation groups and corporate fleets that need professional management platforms,” said Carla Buencamino, aceMobility head of mobility infrastructure.

Looking ahead, ChargeFleet will have exclusive value-added features integrated through the company's mobile EV charging station (EVCS) partner apps Avro and Power on Wheels.

“These upcoming features underline AceMobility's commitment to providing future-proof support systems for the growing needs of its customers' businesses,” the company said.

ACMobility's portfolio includes its BYD and Kia distribution businesses, Isuzu dealership operations, as well as its EV charging infrastructure and Bosch car service units.

Last year, it acquired Honda Cars Philippines, Inc. along with other brands such as Volkswagen and Maxus, amid the company's plan to focus on its EV business. Had ended his dealership with.
