With more than 700 grape gardens within a two -hour drive of Cape Town, deciding which trip can a challenge. Fortunately, the closest property of Cape Town airport is a destination in itself – and after twice, this is the time to share this hidden gem.
Welcome
Vergenoegd calls for a clear expectation to overtake the stress of life through the gate of Löww and embrace the excitement of lies further. Following the hotel signals, a sliding gate opens forward, greeting you in the car with a porter, which is ready to assist with your luggage. At the hotel reception, the employees were warmly welcomed, which offered a fresh towel to help you cool down.
After completing the required paperwork, we were taken to a golf cart, and our journey began, through the property. As we passed the hotel and the owner's villa, along with the flock of dexter cattle who grazed the fields, we saw the line of white-dhule cape dutch-style cottages, one of which would be our house for the next three days.
The room
Estate has six freestanding, two-bedroom luxury cottages, and walking in the front verandah was a delightful experience. Step inside, we were welcomed by a wood -burning chimney and a lounge with a dining table. As a warm continuity of welcome reception, our porter put us glasses of cap classic. It is often served at the hotel reception, where I sometimes feel pressure to finish it immediately, but felt both both clever and domesticly served in our lounge.
From the central lounge, two identical bedrooms move outwards, both invited with comfortable king beds – adorned with lots of pillows for those who enjoy a sleeping nest – and leading through doors slipping in the outside verandah.
The outdoor location is designed to relax easily: generously invites hot pool lounging, and an outdoor shower provides both warm and cold water after swimming. Solitude from the rest of the farm, cottage claims a cool setting, which is surrounded by a manicure garden with the steelbosh mountain in distance.
Vergenoegd Löw also offers a beautiful boutique farm lodge, where I stopped during my first visit. Each of the deluxe lodge room is a huge 40 meters and facilitates your personal deck with a jacuzzi and outdoor furniture – and all farm features are slightly away.
Finally, the surprising owner's villa is available for selective stay-a modern and custom-designed house with six attached bedrooms. The courtyard has a four -viney -turn suit, each with its own warm pool, which can also be rented for friends or small groups of family demanding solitude. There is also an impressive president – a favorite for wedding couples!
Guskhana
Returning to our luxury cottages, both bedrooms lead to big bathrooms with walk-in shower and freestanding bathtub. As a frequent passenger in South Africa, I am always eager to provide the features provided – and I felt a sigh of relief at Vergenoiged Low when I was a premium African spa brand, familiar healing meaning labels.

Vergenoegd Löw may not be located more easily-being the closest property to the airport of Cape Town, which is only 20 minutes of drive away. The city is only doubled at that distance – but there is no mistake, the property still symbolizes the spirit of Winlands, which gives you a feeling of avoiding the movement of civilization. While some houses may be new, the history of the farm returns in the early days of the cape.
A remarkable example is the story of the Dutch Lutharan Minister and Artist Jaan Brands, who visited the farm in 1786 and built both buildings and comprehensive paintings of botany, which directed the current teams to honor the heritage of the farm. Some of his functions are depicted in the iconic rescmuseum in Amsterdam, with breeding on the performance of Clara's barn.
Facilities
With a lot of activities on the proposal in Vergenoegd Löw, you will not really want to leave – meaning that you can indulge in three culinary options of the farm. First, Clara's barn is firmly placed in my top four South African restaurants. This is an experience that hits the scar for perfectly fine food, offering pure epicurian ecstasy for the interiors breathable with 11-cures offerings, all stuck in a cool enclave of all the Estate wine added with wine.
Secondly, contingent food is served in the central courtyard (and beautiful indoor rooms) of the farm, in the morning and in the afternoon. Hotel guests enjoy breakfast here, including 'dye sati' full breakfast and delicious South African twist for people suffering from last night's enjoyment.
Finally, with in-room dining, you can enjoy the no-frills delights given at your door-by the pool, in the dining room, or in my personal favorite bed! There are some things that I am happy to immerse my teeth in a burger in the bed, seeing the latest Netflix offer.
Perhaps the best saving for the final, naturally offers vegenoiged loves wine. We had the privilege to spend some time with attractive wockes Vuci Delicuba, which went through the wine. Vusi dalicuba has been on the hull since 2021, working in many famous winery earlier. In a world where there are still some Xhosa winemakers, they have made their mark with great pride.
From the Famballey Fresh Tropical and Sovinon Blanc, beautifully fruit-wood balanced Shardonay, light but elegant Shiraz to a quiet climate cablet. The wine is best enjoyed on tasting indigenous tasting on Manor House verandah or super stylish rooms. They are served with a host of favorite South African Nibbals – instead of determining the pair you are left to detect your own mouthwater flavor combinations.
Other good touch
In addition to paintings and paintings, the property also contains an impressive sculpture collection. The art walk is a self-directed or lead tour carrying out excellent pieces, including many famous South African artists Dylan Lewis and Manuella Holzers.
Walking on the tour takes you beyond the cool settings of the lake; With the property running through the property, there is endless water with canals keeping canals and grape gardens well in water. The next Seren is the chapel of Valentina on the walk, sitting up to 120 people for weddings and important ceremonies. After all, you will see why I use the word destination to describe Vergenoegd Löw – If you felt that it is only about tasting wine or duck, then they are missing. After two migrants, the farm already feels home -like – and why is there an additional house around the corner, with a close distance to Cape Town?
