
Aboitiz Power Corporation (AboitizPower) has secured a deal with an electric cooperative in Negros Occidental that will allow it to provide 30 megawatts (MW) of electricity through its subsidiaries.
In a statement on Wednesday, AboitizPower said it has selected Northern Negros Electric Cooperative, Inc. after a competitive selection process. (NONECO).
Under the deal, the power producer will provide NONECO with a diversified mix, including Aboitiz Solar Power, Inc. 10-MW mid-merit supply from GNPower and 20-MW baseload requirement from GNPower Mariveles Energy Centre.
“By supplying reliable baseload electricity and solar power, we are providing a balanced solution that meets the dual requirements of stability and reliability,” said Gerard B., vice president of commercial planning and portfolio management for AboitizPower Wholesale. Roxas said.
NONECO serves the municipalities of Victorias (now a city), Manapala and Cadiz City, as well as the cities of Sagay, Escalante and San Carlos, and the cities of Toboso, EB Magalona and Calatrava.

AboitizPower is the holding company for Aboitiz Group's investments in the country's power sector.
