The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced the extension of the ongoing Permanent Voter Card (PVC) collection exercise in Anambra State, to give registered voters more time to collect their cards ahead of the upcoming governorship election.
The decision was taken during a commission meeting on Monday following several appeals from citizens and stakeholders requesting additional time for collection, a commission statement said.
Initially scheduled to end on Sunday, October 26, the exercise will now continue from Wednesday, October 29 to Sunday, November 2, 2025.
This extension applies to individuals who registered during the recent Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise in the state.
INEC has urged registered voters who are yet to collect their PVCs to take advantage of this extended window and visit any of the 326 designated collection centers in the registration areas (wards) of the state.
The Commission reiterated that PVC collection should be done in person, as collection by proxy is prohibited.
