Ondo State Amotekun Corps said on Friday that he had not arrested less than 51 suspected criminals at various places across the state.
The Core State Commander Adatunji Adele revealed that the Ondo State's capital Akur parades the suspects before the reporters.
According to him, the suspects were arrested for various offenses, including kidnapping, law and order violations, anti-grazing, rape, human trafficking, others.
Adeleye revealed that among the suspected kidnappers arrested, one had confessed to involvement in five major kidnapping work in the state.
He further stated that some suspects arrested pretended to be a hawker, but were actually informers for the kidnappers.
He said, “Today, we are paradising 51 suspects arrested in various nooks and cranes and forests of the state. We have 37 suspects arrested for violation of law and order. We have six major kidnapping suspects and a case of misconduct, which is rape.
“As a result of the activities of Amotekun Rangers in the forest, we were able to eliminate a terrible kidnapping syndicate. An armor, who took place here today, has been arrested, and has confessed to five major kidnapped operations within the state.
“On those who pretend to be hawkers and choose metals, but are actually a colleague and information-active agents of the kidnappers and robbers, we have David Abdul, 22, Abdullai, 27, Sani, 22, Ahmed, 26, Emma, 20 and Mercy.
“On human trafficking, we have an Ibrahim, 42, and we have an AGU Joseph, a gelbard that really survived the Okitipappa Custodial Center to commit another crime, where Amotkun Operators chose him.”
Adeleye revealed that 35 of the 51 arrested suspects would be accused in the court court, while the rest would face the resolution of internal disputes.
However, he warned the criminals to stay away from the Ondo state, stating that the core is committed to ensuring the safety of good people of the state.
“So, across the board, these 51 suspects have passed through various stages of inquiries, and around 35 of them are going to a court of the competent court today, while other internal disputes will face the solution method, and if they on the scale, we will be able to solve at that level, otherwise, they will finish in the court of jurishadiction.
“With this, what we are saying, and we are still saying, that is the state of Ondo not safe for criminals. Pack and go. We have told you the government and the good people of Ondo state are opposing the kidnapping for ransom.
