Arsenal extended their lead at the top of the Premier League table with a comfortable 2-0 win over Burnley at Turf Moor on Saturday as Victor Gyökeres ended his five-game goal drought.
The Sweden international broke the deadlock early in the first half, heading home a corner to score his first league goal since September 13 and his sixth in all competitions since joining from Sporting Lisbon in the summer.
Gyöckeres then turned provider before half-time, delivering an accurate pass to Leandro Trossard who set up for Declan Rice to double Arsenal's lead.
The striker was withdrawn at half-time, causing a minor injury concern, but the Gunners finished the game comfortably to secure their ninth consecutive win in all competitions.
Arsenal have now won eight of their opening ten league games and are defensively unbeaten in their last seven matches in all competitions.
Having finished as Premier League runners-up for the last three seasons, Mikel Arteta's side are determined to go one better this time and end their 21-year wait for a league title.
The Gunners' attention now turns to the Champions League, where they face Slavia Prague on Tuesday amid a tough run of seven fixtures in just 22 days.
