The Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) has reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to transparency, reform and quality service delivery to Nigerians.
In a statement signed by its management in Abuja, the commission rejected the recent acts of intimidation and baseless allegations targeted at its Registrar-General, Husseini Magaji, adding that such distractions will not derail its mandate.
“The attention of the Corporate Affairs Commission has been drawn to the recent acts of intimidation and baseless allegations targeted at the Registrar-General. Let it be clearly stated that the Registrar-General will not succumb to any form of blackmail, distraction or pressure in the discharge of his legitimate responsibilities,” the statement said.
The CAC urged individuals or groups with credible evidence of wrongdoing or corruption against the Registrar-General to refer such petitions to appropriate anti-corruption agencies for investigation and prosecution, rather than resorting to smear campaigns and misinformation.
Reiterating its adherence to due process and integrity, the Commission assured Nigerians that it will remain steadfast in providing efficient and transparent services to the business community and the public.
“The Commission is focused on transparency, reform and service to Nigerians under the Renewed Hope Agenda,” it said.
