In a statement, the agency said Austria had informed DWM Secretary Hans Leo J. A desire to create new opportunities in the care, tourism and hospitality sectors follows a meeting between CACDAQ and Austrian Federal Minister of Labor and Economy Wolfgang Hattmannsdorfer.
“During the meeting, the two officials reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthen and expand Philippine-Austrian labor cooperation, particularly under the dual bilateral agreements by 2023 on the recruitment of professional and skilled workers, including nurses,” the agency said.
According to the agency, recruitment will be conducted through a special appointment arrangement that guarantees ethical recruitment and worker safety.
“Austria’s willingness to hire more Filipino workers reflects its confidence and high regard for the Filipino workforce,” Mr. Cacadac said.
