Erling Haaland scored twice in the second half as Manchester City earned a 2-0 win over Everton in their eighth Premier League match at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday.
The Norwegian striker, who scored a hat-trick for his country during the recent international break, continued his fine form with a clinical brace, taking his goal tally to 23 in just 13 appearances for club and country this season.

After a quiet first half in a difficult environment, Haaland made his mark shortly after the restart with a powerful header from Nico O'Reilly's cross.
Just five minutes later, he struck again, sweeping Savinho's cutback which deflected off defender James Tarkowski and into the net.
Up to that point, it was David Moyes's Everton who looked the more dangerous side. Illiman Ndiaye caused many problems for the City defence, first intercepting a misplaced Nathan Ake pass but failing to find Beto with a low cross, before Gianluigi Donnarumma made a good save from a powerful long-range effort.
City's luck also ran out when Everton defender Jake O'Brien almost put the ball into his own net, his header hitting the crossbar.
Despite creating only half-chances in the opening half, including Savinho's effort which was denied by Jordan Pickford, Pep Guardiola's men found their rhythm after the break, with Haaland once again proving the difference.
The win continues City's strong home form as they look for another Premier League title.
