Global technology company Huawei has won eight prestigious Global Mobile (GLOMO) awards at the Mobile World Congress Barcelona 2026, cementing its position as a leading innovator in the global telecommunications and digital technology ecosystem.
The awards presented by the GSMA recognized Huawei's contributions to multiple areas of mobile technology and digital innovation, including network infrastructure, artificial intelligence, fintech, digital health and accessibility.
Huawei won accolades for Best Mobile Network Infrastructure, Best AI Powered Network Solution, Best Non-Terrestrial Network Solution, Best Mobile Operator Service for Connected Consumers, Best Mobile Innovation for Connected Health and Wellbeing, Best Fintech and Digital Commerce Innovation, Best Use of Mobile for Access and Inclusion and Best Mobile Innovation to Improve the Lives of Children and Youth.
The GSMA Glomo Awards is considered one of the most influential awards in the mobile communications industry. A panel of leading industry experts select the winners by evaluating technological breakthroughs, innovative applications and contributions to industry development.
Huawei's Best Mobile Network Infrastructure award highlighted the company's innovations in ultra-broadband connectivity, multi-antenna technology and energy-efficient network design. These solutions are enabling telecom operators to build AI-powered networks that support the development of advanced 5G infrastructure while reducing energy consumption.
In the Best AI Powered Network Solution category, Huawei partnered with China Mobile to develop an “AI+Network” operation transformation solution designed to enhance autonomous network operations. The system incorporates the world's first carrier-grade A2A-T multi-agent communication protocol, enabling intelligent collaboration across the network domain.
Huawei also received the Best Non-Terrestrial Network Solution award through its collaboration with China Telecom, which developed technology allowing direct communication between smartphones and Tiantong satellites. This innovation enables satellite connectivity for mobile phones and in-car infotainment systems, supporting communications in maritime and remote environments.
In the fintech category, Huawei and Safaricom were recognized for the Zidi Wealth Platform, a digital investment solution launching in Kenya in 2025. The platform allows users—particularly those with middle and low incomes—to invest in money market funds via mobile devices, helping expand financial inclusion across Africa.
Huawei also earned recognition for its work in digital healthcare and education. Its ubiquitous AI health assistant, developed with China Mobile, transforms the mobile phone dialer into an AI-powered healthcare platform, providing consultation, medical assistance and health management tools.
In the field of education, Huawei's digital learning initiative has already supported dozens of schools, trained more than 600 rural teachers, and benefited more than 5,000 students, while nationwide programs have trained nearly 180,000 teachers.
Held from March 2 to March 5 in Barcelona, Spain, Mobile World Congress 2026 served as a global platform for Huawei to showcase its latest technologies and digital solutions aimed at advancing connectivity, financial inclusion and intelligent services around the world.
