Insecurity: We are not negotiating with bandits – Bauchi Police Commissioner


Bauchi State Commissioner of Police, Sani-Omolori Aliyu, has said that both the state government and the security community have had no negotiations with the bandits.

Sani-Omolori said this during a stakeholders meeting with residents of different communities within Mansur in Alkaleri Local Government Area of ​​the state, which was held at their market square.

He assured the community members that their safety will remain a top priority in the discharge of their constitutional duties of maintaining law and order.

The Police Commissioner advised community members to move around freely but maintain vigilance and report any strange faces or incidents.

According to the Police Commissioner, “The rumors spreading that a kind of ceasefire or amnesty has been given to the bandits are completely false.”

While the affected communities appreciated the Police Commissioner and his team for giving them confidence.

Also present during the meeting were the Commandant of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC), Brigade Commander and representative of the Director of State Services (DSS) and the Commander of the Nigerian Forest Security Services, Bauchi State Command.
