Hundreds of individuals and families across Lagos experienced the joy of giving during the Christmas festivities as Daystar Christian Center reached out with free food items and assistance through its annual Love at Christmas Outreach.
The initiative, which reflects the church’s commitment to compassion and community impact, took place on Sunday, December 21, 2025 across all Daystar worship centers in Lagos – Ikorodu, Ikeja, Lekki, Alimosho and Badagry.
Speaking on the culture of love that defines the church, the Deputy Senior Pastor of Daystar, Nike Adeyemi, emphasized that love must always be intentional and proactive.
He said, “Our message has always been that love must be active. Every human being is important to God and to us as a church, and love at Christmas is one of the ways we live out this conviction.”
At Daystar Christian Center, Love at Christmas Outreach is not a one-time event, but an expression of a broader culture of caring.
Through the church's charity unit, food and medical assistance is provided monthly to needy individuals and families. The Christmas Outreach serves as the culmination of these year-long efforts, providing help and hope to hundreds of beneficiaries across Lagos.
The celebration of the season was further enriched by Daystar's annual Christmas Concert, a vibrant blend of worship, music, performing arts and a timely message from Daystar Senior Pastor Sam Adeyemi.
His message called for reflection and a renewed response to God's love in a world marked by uncertainty.
“In times of uncertainty, what humanity needs most is direction,” Pastor Adeyemi said. “God remains the supreme leader and judge, ruling not with oppression, but with love and justice. No matter how broken the world is, his authority is merciful, and his love is always calling us back.”
The impact of the outreach was deeply felt by the recipients. One beneficiary, Margaret Olagbaju, expressed heartfelt gratitude, “This kind of love is not something I take lightly. Daystar has consistently shown us that we are valued and remembered. I pray that the church will continue to grow and touch more people's lives.”
As the year draws to a close, Daystar Christian Center has announced its New Year's Eve service on Thursday, December 31, 2025 from 6 p.m. Till 9 pm (GMT+1).
The service will be a time of worship, Word and prophetic ministries, an opportunity to give thanks for the past year and receive prayers and direction for the year ahead.
The crossover service will be held across all Daystar worship centers in Lagos and will also be live streamed on the official social media platforms of the church. Everyone is invited to attend.
