The Presiding Archbishop of Rhema Christian Church and Towers (RCC&T) Sango-Ota, Ogun State, Taiwo Akinola, has called on the Church in Nigeria to invest more in deepening peace across the country.

Akinola said the church is non-partisan and must maintain its stance as an advocate of righteousness, justice and peace in the larger society. He reiterated that Nigerians must promote social harmony, saying “peace is the foundation of progress.”

“…Because the parties have interests, but the church must support the truth, and advocate the truth, push for the truth, campaign for the truth, etc.,” Akinola said during the 34th World Conference of Rhema Christian Church press conference held in Sango-Ota on Thursday, October 23, 2025.

With the theme, ‘The God of All Possibilities’, Akinola revealed that this year’s conference promises to usher in a new dimension of experience in the power of the Holy Spirit. According to him, the conference will take worshipers to the dawn of refreshment and revival.

“As a church, we are deeply appreciative of the Lord for His enduring mercy and the grace He has graciously provided us over the past 34 years.

Akinola said, “We believe that God will use this gathering to release dramatic solutions to life's challenges and bring new divine interventions into all dimensions of our personal and national lives – because with our God, nothing will be impossible.”

The week-long conference will begin on Sunday November 2, the anniversary date of the founding of the Rhema Christian Church, with an anniversary lecture focused on the topic, and conclude on Sunday November 9, 2025.

Among other things, the church will celebrate its annual 'Hosanna Night' on Friday 7th November with an explosive night of high praise, power, worship and miracles to celebrate God's faithfulness to the ministry over the past 3 years.

Presiding Bishop of Rhema Christian Church, Ireti Akinola, said women are very important in missionary work, while speaking during the annual conference and by extension, women play important roles in the larger society.

“If you see many men in the society who are misbehaving, who are embezzling money, most of the time, it is to please the women in the houses.

He said, “Women have a role in helping their husbands and men in their lives, helping them live an honest life, and not pressurizing them to do bad things. So, a woman is either a daughter, a wife, or a mother. So in all those areas, primarily the woman is very important. Not talking about her positions in various careers – which is also very important.”
