Noder Global Darts acquires autodarts to bring automated scoring technology to the community

A Welsh manufacturer of the darts device has taken away a rapidly growing technology business, which automatically automatically scoring, how the game is played and seen in a deal.

Supported by the noder and private equity firm Inflexion located in Bridnda, has acquired autodarts for an unknown amount. The company said the move will “help players worldwide the most advanced sports, training and competition experiences for players worldwide.”

Autodarts uses cameras mounted above or around the board, to find out where the darts calculate the land and immediate score. Technology already has more than 85,000 players worldwide, who use the system to train, compete and play socially.

Darts enjoy an increase in popularity as acquisition. This year Luke Little's notable win as the youngest world Darts Champion has attracted new focus on the game by inspiring new fans and players.

Even elite professionals are supporting technology. Three-time world champion and Vinmau Ambassador Michael Van Gerven said: “I have been playing professional darts for almost 20 years and this next generation technique is a full game-chain. Online sports, training programs, to add darts community around the world-this will take the game to the next level.”

Nodor Managing Director Vince Black said that the deal represented a natural development for the company: “By combining our world -class technology, we are creating a platform that not only supports the players at every level, but also defines how the game is played, practiced and is enjoyed at the world level.”

Established in 1973 by Ford Motor Engineer John Black, the noder produced out of an ambition to make tungsten darts more economical for men working. John and his wife Gill built the Red Dragon brand, acquired the noder in 1983 and rival Vinmau in 2002.

In 2023, the Private Equity Group Inflexian acquired a majority stake in trade for millions of pounds, giving fresh capital to expand it.
