PAGASA says expect rain during All Saints, All Souls days

Rainy weather is expected in more than a dozen areas of the country during All Saints' Day and All Souls' Day over the weekend, due to the impact of two weather systems, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).

Ahead of the weekend, a low pressure area (LPA) is expected to form over the east coast of the Visayas along the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ), bringing rainy conditions to many parts of the country over the weekend, PAGASA said in a statement.

During All Saints' Day on Saturday, the LPA and ITCZ expect cloudy skies and isolated rain and thunderstorms to affect Metro Manila, Calabarzon, Mimaropa, Bicol Region, Aurora and Zamboanga Peninsula.

In Cagayan Valley, cloudy skies and rain are expected, while Ilocos Region and Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) are expected to be partly cloudy with isolated light rain.

PAGASA also said that the rest of the country will remain partly cloudy with the possibility of localized rain or thunderstorms.

On Sunday, during the observance of All Souls' Day, cloudy skies with isolated rain and thunderstorms are expected over Mimaropa, Calabarzon, Bicol Region and Western Visayas due to the influence of the LPA and ITCZ.

The rest of the country may experience rain and thundershowers in the afternoon or evening.

PAGASA said the LPA that hit the country over the weekend has little chance of developing into a tropical cyclone. , Age Adrian A Eva
