
The Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) is set to launch it fifirst aartiFIcial Intelligence (AI) Tech Academy in Cebu on November 17.

StackTrek invested in a two-story facility to host AI training sessions for Ecozone workers as a joint project with the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) and the IT and Business Process Association of the Philippines (IBPAP).
“It will have two tracks – one through IBPAP, which is in IT services. And the other, which we hope to introduce as well, is on advanced manufacturing to benefit our electronics industry,” Mr Panga said at an event last week.
Mr. Panga said the Seibu facility has more than just workspaces for trainees.
“This is an investment by the private sector. Our role, really, focuses on how we can mobilize the industry to support it through donations of equipment, and then involve TESDA to provide grants to workers who undergo AI training,” Mr. Panga told reporters separately.
PEZA is also hoping to launch AI training facilities in other major cities and provinces, including its main building.
