Review: Angel Pool Villa, Castro, Caphylonia, Greece

The sixth largest island in Greece, and the largest in the Eonian, the drama of corfu rocks in Caphynia, is the attraction of the myths of Ethaka, and simply has enough modernity to stay connected – if you choose to be. And, outside the Argosoli in the south, there is a collection of villas built on the foundation of buildings ruined by the 1953 great Kefalonia earthquake, above a hill over the south, the ruins of St. George Castle. Three-Bedaran is for the villa. Lefkada in the north.

Welcome

We arrived late – quite late that the horizon was long after swallowing the sun and the island entered the moonlight. But Angela, the name of the property was waiting at the guard Angel (and owner), at the gate. No fluster, no disturbance – just a warm smile, only interrupted by the noise of the chirping, and the key of a temporary state.

Angela had made a lot of arrangements for our taxi from the airport, making our arrival uninterrupted – the kind of thoughtfulness can exceed any thread count. A smooth transition to this cool escape from an unannounced GPS-pinning or incorrect twist-hole base.

Property

The cool is the first quiet gift of the villa. Kefalonian Summers are hot-bladed affairs, but steps inside and you still hug from cold air-thick stone walls (about two feet deep) and thanks to the calm, efficient air conditioning.

The main place is open, stone-floor and beauty additional. A fireplace louns in a corner, although in summer it is more ornamental than practical. We never touched the TV – instead prepared to eat outside and enjoy each other's company – but if you want it is there.

Just a few steps above the dining area and kitchen: a victory of tradition-meat-tech. Rustic roof beams and earthen tons frame miele equipment, a delngi coffee machine, integrated fridge-friend, and every gadget from Tooster to Tosted sandwich manufacturer. It is a kitchen that wants to cook you, if it was not for three beautiful inn within a walk distance.

Angela explained that most of the villas were rebuilt from the ruins of the lost buildings in the 1953 earthquake, which had destroyed a lot of caffelonia.

There are three bedrooms at the top – one double and two single – each with their own attached shower room. In fact, there is no queue for a post-surprise rin because this property is not less than five rains despite having three bedrooms-tucking out of the kitchen with one and outside the other.

Curus citrus shampoo, conditioner, body gel and hand wash offer a fresh, infecting rooms with a fresh, herbal fragrance, giving Greek skincare a gentle signal.

Facilities

Outside, the pool cephalonian shines under the blue sky, which is filled with sunbeds and seating areas, allowing guests to relax and discouraged any form of productivity in almost any form. There is an outdoor shower, drying rack, and sufficient shade and sun to suit each inclination.

Here the soundtrack is not cuisted on the spotify, but is gifted by nature: topical wind through olive trees, a distant cockerel or rhythmic chirping of insects are all you will hear. If you are looking for noise, nightlife or neon lights, it is not your place. But if you are looking for peace and solitude, this villa saves in the hukum.

You need everything to plan your trip in 2025

place

Villa is located about 8 kilometers from Argosoli and hidden but beautiful Greek Orthodox of Agios Nicolos, located in the hill village of Castro, about 8 kilometers from the Church, lovingly restored by owners of Kifelian luxury villas.

Less than a kilometer away is the palace of Agios Georgios, which is the 16th -century Winisian remains, which stands both as a ruin and monument, preserves the area with grace, collapse. Just for € 5, you can walk between the ramparts and absorb in ideas that are some of the best in Kefalonia.

Outside the walls of the palace, a local family adorned in Castro Cafee-flowers provides the spot-hardened breakfast and a single heart hospitality.

In dinner options Il Borgo, a classic tavarna in which the Greek was corrected with the favorite, and the olive lounge, an upscale escape with stunning panoramic view – the time for books and sunset in advance. All three are within easy walk distance from villas.

A small taxi ride you land in the compact capital of Argostoli, the island, where turtles gather by fishing boats and the waterfront is ideal for a lazy wandering or spontaneous galato.

Other good touch

Small details Lingar: A Sisalt and Rose Deplace from Moheda that dissolves with the villa cooling; And tea, coffee and cold bottled water were waiting on arrival. Perhaps not grand gestures, but calm people who display care and attention that probably whispers loudly than any luxury.

Cost

High weather rates hover at around £ 370 per night, taking a dip up to £ 270 in the shoulder months. For a property of this Calibre – a sufficient space for privacy, elegance, and group of friends, and at this location, it seems perfectly appropriate. Especially when you consider the precious thing that it provides: peace.

the best bit

The best bit was not a pool, although it was perfect. It was not the scene, although it stopped us every day in our track. It was also not a villa e, as it is. It was a sense of solitude, peace and relaxation – the opportunity to forget the movement of daily life back home.

final call

Something about staying in a house born of debris is moving forward and has been rebuilt by such grace. Angel Pool Villa stands as a great example of thoughtful restoration, providing a unique shelter of peace and comfort. Whether you choose to live and relax, or actively detect the island, this is a villa where you can actually achieve and hug the peace of caffelonia.
