Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has commiserated with his Niger State counterpart, Governor Mohammed Bago, the government and people of Niger State over the tanker explosion that reportedly claimed the lives of at least 35 people and hospitalized 17 others.
Sanwo-Olu, who is the Chairman of the South-West Governors Forum, also commiserated with the families of the victims of the lone tanker vehicle accident on the Bida/Agai highway.

Sanwo-Olu in a statement on Wednesday by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Gboyega Akosile, described the incident as pathetic.
“With a heavy heart I read and watched the developments in the disaster that followed the explosion of a petrol filled tanker yesterday on the Bida/Agai Highway in Niger State, which reportedly resulted in the death of about 35 people.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with my brother, Governor Mohammed Bago, the government and people of Niger State, as well as the families of the deceased and victims of the tragic incident,” Sanwo-Olu said in the statement.

Therefore, he prayed for the peace of the deceased and prayed to Almighty God to give the families of the victims the strength to bear this irreparable loss.
“I wish speedy recovery to those undergoing treatment,” he said.
