The adept lessor focuses on detail with equipment leasing efforts

Adept Laser, a top leasing and financing firm, plans to expand its operations in Nigeria and Africa as part of its long-term growth strategy, reaffirming its commitment to equipment leasing.

The company, which currently operates in Lagos, opened its new office in Magodo on Saturday, and it is keen to take a bigger share in Nigeria's growing leasing and financing market, said Tayo Adekoya, founder and CEO of Adept Lease Limited.

Adekoya, who spoke at the company’s office inauguration and 10th anniversary celebration in Lagos recently, said Adept Laser’s decade journey was a collective achievement made possible by the determination, commitment and hard work of its workforce.

“We are young people who are determined that we are going to do something good with our lives,” he said. He said, “We run a credit business, and we say to ourselves, one of our mantras is that we would rather die than fail in our obligations to our customers.”

“The things that have brought us here are truthfulness, determination, loyalty, hard work and commitment. We always ensure that we fulfill our obligations towards our financiers,” he said.

According to him, Adapt Lesser's growth from a small financial leasing firm to a top player in the industry reflects deliberate planning, integrity and trust – values he said have defined the brand's legacy.

“With over a decade of deep experience, we have seen the country’s leasing industry evolve, and we have evolved with it through our commitment to changing the narrative and providing leasing assistance for businesses and individuals,” he said.

The company plans to expand its operations across the country and continent, he said, adding that the business has pitted itself against the best in the industry.

Speaking on some of the obstacles faced in business and how his organization was able to address them, he explained that Nigerians often have a culture of taking loans without repaying. “A lot of people want to get your money and disappear,” he said.

He said the organization is addressing the issue through due diligence on potential customers, noting that the federal government is also helping address the issue with the National Identification Number (NIN).

He predicted steady growth for the country's leasing industry in 2026, saying that with continued naira stability and recovery momentum, the industry will see significant growth as business confidence continues to increase.
The lively celebration brought together employees and well-wishers and presented awards to outstanding employees. Employees were rewarded on the occasion of this event.
