West Ham shown interest in Emmanuel Dennis

West Ham United have reportedly expressed interest in signing Nigerian striker Emmanuel Dennis following his release from Nottingham Forest earlier this year.

The 27-year-old forward, who is currently a free agent, has also attracted the attention of his former club Watford, The West Ham Way reports.

Dennis has been without a team since leaving Forest in August due to a heavy loan spell at Blackburn Rovers, where he made seven appearances without scoring, and was sent off against Norwich City in March.

Dennis made his Premier League debut with Watford during the 2021/22 season, scoring 10 goals in 33 appearances, including a goal against West Ham in the Hammers' 4–1 win at Vicarage Road. However, his career has faltered since leaving the Hornets following their demotion.

A move to Nottingham Forest in 2022 yielded just two goals in 19 matches, before embarking on a series of short-term loan spells in Türkiye and the Championship.

West Ham, currently struggling with inconsistency in front of goal, are looking for options to strengthen their attacking line in the January window. However, the question remains whether Dennis can rediscover the form that made him one of the league's most promising offensive talents.

Although some sections of the fans may be skeptical of a move for Dennis, especially given his recent struggles, his availability as a free agent could make him a low-risk option as the Hammers look to strengthen their squad in the middle of the season.
