X platform faces outage for second month as users report issues

Elon Musk's social media platform X experienced another outage on Monday, marking the second consecutive month of service disruption.

According to reports compiled by Downdetector, more than 3,000 users reported problems on Monday evening, with complaints peaking around 3:00 pm local Nigerian time.

Users flagged a variety of problems, with more than half reporting difficulties accessing the website, 27 percent struggling with the mobile app, and nearly 16 percent mentioning problems with the feed.

The company has not provided any official explanation for the outage, leaving the cause unclear.

This follows a series of disruptions last month when X suffered two outages, including a major incident in the United States that drew more than 28,000 complaints.

Repeated outages have raised concerns among users about the reliability of the platform, especially as X seeks to compete with other social media services in global markets.

Industry observers say that while occasional downtime is to be expected for large platforms, consistent monthly disruptions can impact user trust and engagement.
