YEIDEP warns against fraudsters, postpones Batch A grant distribution

The Youth Economic Intervention and De-Radicalization Program (YEIDEP) has urged the public to be wary of the activities of fraudsters, as it announced the postponement of business grant distribution to Batch A applicants, which was earlier scheduled for October 20, 2025.

Program Coordinator-General, Kennedy Iyer cited complexities in ensuring a transparent, accountable and accurate disbursement process as the reason for the delay.

He cautioned applicants against fake news circulating on social media platforms claiming that payments have started and warned that internet fraudsters are spreading false information to extort money from people.

YEIDEP stressed that every benefit or benefit related to the program is provided free of charge and advised the public to ignore criminal elements exploiting them.

According to him, the new date for distribution of funds will be announced through various media platforms once the process is finalized.

Meanwhile, YEIDEP has announced that the registration portal for Batch B Recruitment will reopen on October 27, 2025, reaffirming its commitment to ensure that every registered member receives the benefits they are entitled to.

“We caution and caution all our registered applicants and potential beneficiaries to ignore the fake news spreading on various social media platforms that YEIDEP's business grant disbursement has become effective.

It is internet fraudsters who are spreading these fake news in their desperate attempt to misinform innocent Nigerians and make them gullible to their tricks of financial extortion.

“Please be cautious not to allow anyone to deceive you. Every benefit or gain related to YEIDEP is provided free of charge. Therefore, we advise everyone to be well guided, and be smart enough to ignore those criminal elements who want to extort money from the public by spreading fake news to fulfill their criminal ambitions.

“We are also pleased to announce to the general public through this medium that the registration portal for “Batch B” Recruitment will be re-opened on Monday, October 27, 2025.

Iyer said, “We would like to sincerely express our commitment towards the successful implementation of YEIDEP, as we work to ensure that every registered member benefits. Further updates will be communicated through our YouTube, Facebook and other digital communication channels.”
